This is our Christmas extended-solar-family photo!

We only all get together once a year, so the Inner West Community Energy management team hosting Christmas drinks the other night for the group’s preferred solar installers from Roland Lawrence Electrical, Brightside Solar & Electrical, and Harbour Energy.

The venue?

What better place to celebrate PV sales through Inner West Community Energy hitting 54 systems than at Sauce Brewing Co in Marrickville, a solar-powered brewery. (Are there other Inner West  breweries that want to go solar? We’d love to partner with any that do.)

As we told our installers on the night, we couldn’t do our work promoting solar PV in the Inner West without them. I think we could put it this way: other than our solar clients, our installers are our most important stakeholders.

We appreciate all they do.

They’re the ones who lug heavy solar panels on to roofs, from the middle of winter to the middle of summer, working at sometimes precarious heights, who’ve recently had to endure terrible air quality, who run small businesses in an industry notorious for its peaks and troughs and almost daily changes to regulations from national and state authorities, and who have to endure doing their job while knowing that their Prime Minister and his Energy Minister actually would rather prefer coal to solar.

Fortunately, though, the Australian community loves solar.

Thank you to all three companies for your support over 2019. We look forward to working with you in the New Year!

Here’s a few shots of the guys at work through the year.
