Thanks to the 15 Inner West households who put their hands up last night as wanting to install rooftop solar.

That was the outcome of our latest Solar Information Night, held for the first time at Leichhardt Bowling Club.

We’ve already fired off emails to get the ball rolling at our end, and within the next few weeks our preferred solar installers will be on site, discussing the options, measuring up and providing a quote.

Thanks also to Kristy Walters of Haystacks Solar Garden for giving a talk on how people who don’t own a house can still benefit from solar by buying part of a solar farm proposed to be built at Grong Grong in the Riverina. Now, that’s a really innovative project. For more details, go to haystacks.solargarden.org.au.

And thanks to Leichhardt Bowlo manager Baz Compton for making us all so welcome. We’ll be back! Even if just for the two-for-one Thursday meal deal.

Live in the Inner West and want to go solar?

If you’d like to go solar and would like support from a community group that’s now done 88 houses across the Inner West, check out our video 7 Steps to Solar here, then if that’s the kind of help you need, get in touch.
