Happy Solar Family: Stanmore

Stanmore resident Dylan Hamilton-Foster’s solar journey began two years ago when he attended one of our Solar Information Nights in Five Dock.

At that stage he hadn’t settled on the purchase of his house, then when he did there was urgent repair work that needed to be done first. That’s been done, so in June he was back in touch, ready to go solar.

We asked Dylan 3 questions.

  1. Why did you want to install solar?

“It’s a no-brainer really, with rising energy costs and free energy pouring down from the sun, mature technology that’ll pay itself off in a few years, and eventually I’d like to get an EV & maybe battery storage. So this is the first step.”

  1. How did you find IWCE's help? Did it make a difference?

“IWCE recommended an installer, which gave us great confidence that we were working with someone reliable. To be sure, I compared several other quotes, but only the IWCE-recommended installer visited our home and inspected the roof with a drone before providing a quote. The other companies had clear shortcomings, such as being newly established, having obviously fake Google reviews, or proposing inappropriate designs.”

  1. Would you recommend us to other Inner Westies?

“Absolutely 100% - the information night I attended was very informative. It was a great starting point for my research and when the time was right I contacted IWCE and was recommended an installer.”

Dylan’s 17-panel, 7.48 kilowatt solar PV system using microinverters was installed last month, six weeks after he was back in touch with us. The solarisation of the Inner West continues!
